We started from humble beginnings as one Dr. looking for an in house technician to take care of his removable lab needs. A few years later we have added another technician and have decided to offer our services to outside offices. We are Ember Dental Studio a premium dental lab designed as a boutique lab to give superior personalized attention for your patients technical and esthetic needs. Our technicians Sean Kelley and Josh Tracy have a combined 32 years of experience in removable dental prosthetics which will maximize your patient outcomes and reduce patient chair time. Furthermore all outgoing work is quality controlled by Dr. Austin Leong. We have a deep comprehension of traditional manufacturing, hybrid implant bridges, and digital fabrication using Asiga and Desktop Health 3D printers. Our 3shape scan and design stations can accept files from all intra oral scanners, and we can digitize traditional models as well. We are excited to help you and your patients achieve success for your removable prosthodontic needs.

Ember Dental Studio and Trailhead Dental owner Dr. Austin Leong
Dr. Leong was raised in New York and graduated Magna Cum Laude from SUNY Buffalo in 2007 with a B.A. in Chemistry, a B.S. in Biochemical Pharmacology, and a minor in Mandarin Chinese.
He then pursued his D.D.S. degree at SUNY Stony Brook, graduating in 2011. He received multiple awards during dental school, including Hanu Best of the Best Award for Excellence in Prosthodontics, Steven Gold Award for Leadership in Dentistry, American Student Dental Association Award for Excellence, Foundation of the Pierre Fauchard Academy Scholarship, and Rich Oringer Clinical Research Award.
After dental school, Dr. Leong continued his education by completing a 3-year residency in Prosthodontics at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. During his residency, Dr. Leong was award yearly the Ann and G. Randolph Babcock fellowship. Following his time in North Carolina, he returned to New York to complete a 1-year Fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics at the world-renowned Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2015.
Prior to joining Trailhead Dental, Dr. Leong was an Associate Professer and Course Director of Removable Prosthodontics at Temple University, School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 2019, Dr. Leong was named Faculty of the year at Temple University, School of Dentistry.
As a Maxillofacial Prosthodontics, Dr. Leong is also an expert in the prosthetic reconstruction of patients with head & neck cancer, cleft lip & palate, trauma, or congenital anomalies affecting the orofacial region. He is passionate in helping his patients improve their health, appearance, self-confidence, and overall quality of life.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Leong enjoys spending time with his wife Karen, and their growing family. The Leong family love Colorado’s adventure and scenery, and are happy to have made Colorado their home.
Ember Dental Studio Lab Technician Sean Kelley
Hi I’m Sean Kelley, I started my career working as a bench jeweler for John Atencio Goldsmithing and J. F. Sholl Fine Jewelery and in those eight years I learned a high quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail. When a recession hit and the need for shiny baubles was the last thing from most peoples minds, I tried my talents in the dental field and I brought those attributes with me when I started working in dental labs 19 years ago. You can find me during my free time on the disc golf course, painting, or spending time with my daughter Grace. I can’t wait to help you with your removable needs.

Hi I’m Josh Tracy, I’ve been working in dental labs for 13 years. Over this time I have worked and learned each skill that a removable technician should excel at. I take pride in making my work look as esthetically pleasing as possible. I like to spend my free time with my wife and young son.
